Project Overview

The Agogo Integrated West Hub Development is a major subsea tie-back project offshore Angola. Grispen, working through ERMESYS for SAIPEM, delivered the offshore lifting and rigging design for the field's Production Line Receiver structures, applying the same rigorous DNV-ST-N001 methodology used across our West African PLR portfolio.

The Engineering Challenge

Challenge

As with all PLR lifting scopes, the engineering challenge centres on managing an irregular structural geometry through a controlled deepwater lift, while ensuring the design package satisfies SAIPEM's internal engineering standards as well as the operator's certifying authority requirements, all within a project schedule tied to a fixed offshore campaign window.

Grispen's Solution

Solution

Grispen produced the full lifting and rigging engineering package to DNV-ST-N001, leveraging structural modelling methodology proven on prior PLR projects (including Baleine) to deliver an efficient, high-confidence design within SAIPEM's required timeline. The deliverable integrated seamlessly with SAIPEM's broader installation engineering programme for the Agogo hub.

Scope of Work Delivered

  • Offshore lifting and rigging design per DNV-ST-N001
  • PLR structural modelling and verification
  • Padeye and sling system design
  • Lift case load and DAF derivation
  • Coordination with SAIPEM installation engineering team

Our Delivery Process

Every Grispen engineering scope, regardless of size or client, passes through the same structured five-stage delivery method, ensuring consistent quality and full traceability from kick-off to final issue.
