Project Overview

Beyond individual flagship projects, Grispen has built a substantial and recurring seafastening engineering practice across more than 15 separate heavy marine transport scopes for multiple EPC contractors. This body of work spans mudmats, rigid jumpers, suction piles, spools, SFL carousels, bellmouths and structural frames, transported by barge, OSV and heavy lift vessel.

Seafastening is frequently the most schedule-critical and underestimated scope on an offshore project. Each cargo type and vessel combination presents distinct vessel motion, load distribution and structural interface challenges, while project schedules typically allow narrow windows for Marine Warranty Surveyor review and approval before a fixed vessel departure date.

Our packages consistently include complete Design Basis documentation, vessel motion analysis, structural calculations to AISC 360-16 and DNV-ST-N001, and fully detailed fabrication drawings, delivered within the tight windows that offshore transport schedules demand.
