Project Overview

The Engineering Challenge

Challenge

Anchor installation is a multi-step offshore operation: overboarding from the vessel deck, controlled deployment to the seabed, precise landing within a defined target box, and finally a pre-pull load test to verify holding capacity. Each step has distinct engineering and procedural requirements, and the entire sequence must be documented clearly enough for the offshore installation crew to execute safely and efficiently.

Grispen produced a fully illustrated, step-by-step installation procedure covering anchor overboarding, deployment, landing target verification, and the 200-tonne pre-pull test sequence, including chain catenary geometry, vessel positioning requirements, and landing target coordinates.
